Objectives

Reinforce the Region’s Electrical Infrastructure to support the development and growth of industry and commerce in key municipalities in the country’s central region.

Meet Growth Demand of industrial customers in the main municipalities of the region with its increased power supply

Ensure Solid Energy Future for its residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

Results

Increased Reliability: Improved the reliability of the system and the operation of the medium voltage circuits.

Energy Demand Growth Fulfilled: The increased power supply of 80 MVA will meet the energy demand of industrial customers in the main municipalities of the region.

Improved Grid Reliability: PL16 is a legacy tower used throughout the UK, Monte Carlo ACCC® Conductor increased capacity and reduced sag.

Future Proofing: Looking ahead, the capacity is estimated to increase up to 200 MVA.

Strengthening the Energy System for Bogota

To meet the energy demands of its residential, commercial, and industrial customers, Enel upgraded the capacity of the Bacata Chia Tenjo EL Sol line segments to achieve double capacity, allowing ENEL to alleviate congestion north of the Capital. This development will support the ongoing growth and development of industry and commerce, which have become important for the country’s central region.

“We bet on a project that, without a doubt, will continue to improve service, quality indicators and contribute to the stability and reliability of the electric system in Bogota and Cundinamarca. ” – ENEL
