ACCC® Reconductoring Project Completed In Jamalpur, Bangladesh

To support economic growth in Jamalpur’s industrial region, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh (PGCB) completed another ACCC® Conductor installation earlier this month. Using existing lattice structures, PGCB installed over 330 kilometers of ACCC® Conductor on their 132 kV double circuit Mymensingh to Jamalpur transmission line. EPC support was provided by Power China Fujian Engineering. Co. Ltd.

PGCB selected Grosbeak size ACCC® Conductor manufactured by Apar Industries, Ltd. ACCC® Hardware was provided by Dervaux. The use of ACCC® Conductor increased the capacity of the existing line by approximately 2X. Jamalpur is a market and export center for local rice, sugarcane, jute, tobacco and mustard located on the bank of the river Brahmaputra, 140 km north of Dhaka, the nation’s capital city.
