August 2025 brought the release of a comprehensive new report prepared by London Economics International LLC (LEI) for WIRES: “Use of Advanced Transmission Technologies and Innovative Practices in Power Systems: Potential Benefits, Lessons Learned, and Recommendations.” This in-depth study examines the rapidly expanding world of Advanced Transmission Technologies (ATTs) and Innovative Practices, offering clear recommendations to help utilities, regulators, and policymakers modernize the grid in the face of unprecedented demand growth.
