Electric Grids of Tatarstan Completes ACCC® Conductor Upgrade in Russia

With the support of EPC firm SrednevolgskSetElektrostroy, Electric Grids of Tatarstan completed its 110 kV Nignekamskaya CHP 1 – Zavodskaya transmission line upgrade in the Naberegnie Chelny area of Tatarstan, Russia.

ACCC® Conductor for the project was provided by TechEnergoComplekt that was manufactured by CTC Global’s authorized manufacturing partner Lamifil Russia. PLP Belos provided hardware for the Helsinki size ACCC® Conductor. Electric Grids Tatarstan – This project was completed and energized with temperatures ranging from -15°C to -28° C with winds averaging 15 meters per second. CTC Global’s Master Installer, Sergey Salkinov provided training and support.

Naberegnie Chelny is the second-largest city in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. A major industrial center, Naberezhnye Chelny stands on the Kama River 225 kilometers (140 mi) east of Kazan near Nizhnekamsk Reservoir. The city is one of the largest planned centers in the world related to vehicle production. With more than five square kilometres (2 sq mi) dedicated to the production, the Kamaz plant is the largest vehicle factory in the world. Naberezhnye Chelny is also a major railway, motor transport, and aviation hub.
