U.S. House of Representatives Pass the Inflation Reduction Act, Which Calls For Electric Transmission Improvements

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) of 2022 passed today by the U.S. House of Representatives directs the Secretary of Energy to make the electric grid more robust and resilient by improving inter-regional electricity transmission and effectively integrating electricity generated by offshore wind into the onshore transmission grid. “Advanced Conductors, like the ACCC® Conductor, will be part of that efficient, flexible, and modernized grid delivering clean electricity to consumers throughout the U.S..”, noted CTC Global Corporation’s CEO, J.D. Sitton.  “CTC continues to encourage utilities, developers, state and local communities to focus on getting more from the existing electric grid.  Advanced Conductors can help do that.”
